So I just cleaned out my desk top short cuts..using rocket dock now..but what I didn’t know about rocket dock which i should have figured was when you put folders on it..then delete them from your desktop it deletes the contents of them on rocket dock..and I would like to see if anyone knows what programs are good for recovering these files? i see a lot but they all seem to be spam infester or work like crap crashing left and right..so what programs are good for recovering data deleted from the recycle bin?

My Hard Disk is not being recognized by BIOS
Yesterday while watching movie on my PC it appeared as black on the screen and stopped working. After restarting the PC it was not responding as the BIOS was unable to recognize the hard disk. It creates an unusual sound while BIOS searches drives.
1. I tried by bootting the PC using another hard disk but this HD does not appear in the windows.
2. I also tried to boot using Ubuntu live CD but failed to find my HD on it.
As it is not recognized by BIOS, I cann’t use data recovery software to recover the data. I’m badly in need of all data in it.
Please someone help me in this regard to recover the data.

Is there cheap data cables that would work? Does the hd that is being drawn off need to be cooled during? Is there something else that is better?
Died – meaning a short that caused the fan and a few other bits inside to fry. I was told that it wouldn’t be worth fixing but the hd should be intact.

A couple of weeks ago I deactiveated an account but I forgot to transfer all of the messages out of it: sent, inbox, etc. It is less than 90 days, so can I recover that data? How would I proceed?
