I own a WD Netcenter network drive and it just started flashing alternating red and blue, and making a sound. I think this is bad. Most of my pictures are in there, and I was in the process of moving things around our machines, so some stuff I dont have copies of. What is my first step to hopefully recover? Is there a “recovery for dummies”? should I go to geek squad? somewhere else? I feel I am pretty tech-savvy, but not familiar with data recovery, where do I start?
