I use a [Toshiba 1GB] compact flash card in my Nikon D2X and the first time I went to download the images, to my horror, there was nothing there. I was able to playback the images on my camera at first, but now, I no longer can. I know a compact flash uses memory on a chip as upposed to a hard drive, which stores data magnetically on a disc. But is it still possible to recover data from one?

Fix Damaged Images AFTER Data Recovery Has Been Performed?
I used a data recovery program to recover lost images from my digital camera. Unfortunately some of them came out grey. Meaning, when I look at the picture as a thumbnail, I can see the entire picture, but when I open the image, a large portion of it completely greyed out. Any idea of how I can fix these images? I’ve tried recovering them twice and both times the same images came out damaged.
How do I recover corrupt images from a cd or dvd?
I made a backup copy of all my important files including all my pictures (wedding and honeymoon) and now I am not able to open them. Some of the word/excel files open however the jpg files do not open. I am able to see the icons and the pics still have the file names. However when I click on the icons to open the pics, I get an error message saying it may be corrupt or data is missing.
My husband tried to run some data recovery programs on it but it did not work. The pictures are priceless and I am willing to pay someone to get my honeymoon pics back.
I fear that the pics may have been infected with a virus before I made the backup copy.
If someone can please help I would be very thankful.
