Recover Data Files, Unerase Files

my computer was not working properly so i used manufacturer provided system recovery cds and after that i recovered system with format and lost my whole data .now is there a way to recover lost data i know there are commercial product to do that , is there a free one or else tell which is the good one

So, I formatted my external hard drive and I need the data back. Any suggestions on how to recover ALL or most of my data? I haven’t written anything on top of the data yet. Are there any tools or programs out there that might help me (ideally freeware)?

i accidentally hit format data on my cellphone and now all my:
-music
-ringtones
-sounds
-pictures
-& videos are GONE!!!!!

is there anyway i can get them ALL back? i really dont want to download a bunch of software. and im not gonna pay anything. but please help!!!!!!!!!

my cousin boy formatted my hard disk, it is 40gb seagate, i have my data that i want back. how to recover the data from crash or formatted hard disk. ppl told me abt many recovery software but i need some guideline from experience ppl in this.

My computer encountered a virus that I had to call a friend who could only get rid of the virus by doing a system restore and then do a partition of the hard disk and formatted it (what ever that means) now I have lost all my important Documents My valuable Family photos and three accounts I had in the computer, i had no idea doing all this would lose my entire computer stuff, and am really sad that this has happened, is there any way I can get my pictures and documents back. Please help, this would be great help from you.

I have an external hard disk of valuable data that went under formatting by mistake. The partition it has was removed it seems, and now if we connect the external hard disk it does not get recognized. Probably because there is no File System in there.

So what’s best thing to do to save he data? If we try to format it with new file system, would we be able to recover the data through data recovery tools? As I know FORMAT does not erase all data on disk, it just creates a new file system and marks remaining data as empty.

If not, what would be the best option to get the data back?

I lost power to my house and my comp crashed. So i tried to login after power restoration and experienced alot of blue screens of death until the computer just froze at the windows logo. I tried to use the repair option from the win xp cd but it was progressing as if i was installing windows for the first time.
Other errors i get:
-used repair option from win xp, it never completes and freezes…always cant install the dpvoice.dll file
-can not access safe mode at all, freezes at agp40.dll
-last known config, freezes at windows logo
-sometimes i can login, but crash, or OS is not recognized

Well luckily i have two hard drives and was able to load windows xp on the second one but when i try to view the messed up drive it asks me if i want to format. That drive was partitioned into 2 partitions. I can view and read the second partition with no problem. How can i recover this data? Is there a free tool or do i have to dish out money? Is there a chance to return the drive to normal?

i have accidentally left some data on my C drive which i formateed and reloaded windows over it? can i recover that data? it is the digital camera pictures i am most worried about.
