Recover Data Files, Unerase Files

I have pics in my memory card that has been erased, not format but erased. That is so important. I used PC inspector which is a freeware. it found the lost files but when i tried to save it and open it, it says drawing failed and can’t open it.

what can i do? is there something wrong with the software. should i use other sofwares other than this? can i still recover the files?

I accidently deleted or formatted my memory card and lost all of my images. Is there any program than can recover these files on my Mac? Everything thing that I’ve found is for recovering lost files on a PC through Windows.

I turned on my Fantom drive this morning to find that the contents of an entire directory of movie files was gone. The folder listed 0 files, 0 bytes, though they were all present the day before and I know no one deleted them. But what’s weird is that when I tried to transfer some of the deleted files from my computer hard drive to the Fantom, it wouldn’t let me, saying stuff about files with those names already existing in that directory. So it’s like the data is all there – it’s just not showing up.

The hard drive was off and I know NO ONE accessed it between the last time I saw the files and this morning. I think that since it appears that the data is still present, there is a chance to save it. Any pointers?

And i heard something about hp recovery software. does anyone have any idea about that. where to do free download of that software.

I know there have been a lot of these asked but I have a little twist. I have the sandsik cruzer and I was trying to delete the U3 Launch program. It started and then it wanted to transfer my files and format the drive. So I clicked cancel because I wanted to back up all my files first. When I did that, most of my files were gone. The most important ones for college are gone too. Is there any way I can get these back? I have tried a couple different recovery programs and they havnt found anything and I also have to pay to save anything they find anyway. Thanks for any help.

My D drive died yesterday, and after having a competent friend look at it, he told me to look for “system data recovery” “hard disk” and “slack space” on google to find a program to find the files that were on my D drive. He thinks they are in slack space.

If anyone can help me to recover my data, I would be very appreciative (I have a place to store the data just as long as I can recover the data from the undiscoverable drive). I really would rather not go to IT, so yes. I’d really appreciate it.

I had an external hard drive crash and I used Data Rescue II to recover the files. It seems like it found the majority of my stuff in the normal folder, but I’ve been going through the Orphans and CBR folders just to make sure there’s nothing in there I need. I’ve come across hundreds of .gz files in the archive folders and I can’t open them. What could be in these folders? Is there a chance something will go missing if I delete them? There are over 100gb of them. I’m working on Mac OS 10.4.11. Thanks!

i have reformat/pc recovery my laptop and i lost all my files – text, audio & videos. what i have now is a folder which supposed to be containing these files. however, the folder is unaccessible. i tried to use SMART DATA RECOVERY, but i only recoverered few of my files. i want to recover them all, especially my text documents & images. thanks!

Few day ago My HDD crashed, I recovered the data but around 35% files not opening on the application on which they were made. Like .jpg files are there on the actual size but not opening. I have Windws XP FAT32 and NTFS file format. Please help..

I had my jump drive in my coat pocket and slammed my car door on it. I have everything on the drive, is there any way to recover the data?

I have the white macbook, and I have the full version of Data Rescue II. I’m using my 30GB iPod Video as my external hard-drive (it’s empty) and I did both a thorough scan and a deleted files scan of my hard disk and I can’t find “.mov” files that I deleted. The CBR folder seems to show the files that are on my hard disk, but not any of the movies that I’ve deleted. the movies are big, almost 5 or 6 GB’s per .mov. Does anyone know what’s wrong ?

I know there are programs made for retrieving accidentally deleted data, i accidentally overwritten something and i want to know if i can get the data back. is there a way ?
