Help! Can you recover files on your desktop after reformatting computer?

I know my story is one of many. My comp crashed yesterday. I backed up last week, but put more pics on my desktop this week and thought I’ll back up soon. *hits forehead* I’ve reformatted and now I’m wondering if I can recover my pictures on my desktop. I know I’m a loony for not backing up this week. (This has caused me to want to back up every 5 minutes now. :) Please, please help me. Pictures that I lost are not re-takeable.

P.S. Is there a software program that fully recovers data/files/folders without help from the user? I do not understand computer jargon, lingo, or whatever enough to follow directions. And what is a slave? o.O

Acer aspire desktop computer blu-ray help? (error code =0112)?

i have an acer aspire desktop computer, and it comes with a blu ray driver. i bought the computer in January 2009. When i but in a blu-ray movie it plays through acer arcade live. It plays for 15 seconds, then minimizes the screen and tells me: incompatible graphics driver. Please make sure your graphics driver meets mininum requirment criteria – (Error Code = 0112)

i had this proble before so i had my computer repaired and future shop installed a totaly new blu-ray driver, but then it happened again.
Like a month ago i put in “the dark knight” and the player froze, so i used the task manager to close it. can someone please help me.

laptop died. can i recover the data and put it in my desktop pc?

My laptop pc broke just recently because i overclocked the cpu too far and it got fried. so now i want to recover the 2.5″ hard drive’s data b/c it has my whole photo album, mp3 library, etc. Is there any way that i can move this data to my desktop pc’s 3.5″ hard drive?

My old desktop hard drive crashed, can I connect it to new desktop computer to recover files. If so, how??

My old desktop computers hard drive crashed and was told by technician that I have lost all data. I have purchased a new desktop computer and would like to have a go at seeing if I can get any files etc from old drive onto new computer. I am relatively new at this and if I can, can I get detailed instructions as to how to connect the two hard drives together and the processes involved in retreiving the data
