I found the CD with a hole in the material that is on the side u write on. I tryed to use some other reflective material but it didnt work. I’m opend to any suggestions.
Is there any way that I can recover the data on a busted CD?

The side you write on is where the data is written. Many people don’t know but the data is on the reverse of the coated side. That is why you can remove scratches on the other side with no damage to the data.
