If it’s not getting power at all, best case scenario is there’s a PCB issue, which is usually a fairly easy repair. It’s possible it’s a larger mechnical issue though and will cost much more. If you’re serious about getting the data back, it’s best to send it to a professional data recovery company and have them diagnose the drive.

Not getting power is a bad sign.
This it probably means the HD electronics is dead. A coleague of mine recovered his by swapping the PCB from another identical drive.
But that was one hell of a long shot… I would only try if the data is super important. However if you can afford it I would go with a data recovery company (safer bet).

If the data is very important – you need to go with a proper data recovery specialist (they can cost quite a lot as in upto and beyond £1,000 depending on the data and the disk setup etc).
As already stated, you can try and find an old identical drive on eBay and swap it over.

Try to replace its circuit board with another identical HDD.
    hope it will work.
