I don’t think, you can recover them. But you have to try to recover them by using Recovery Manager software. I hope it could recover them.

usually if you DONT use the quick format method u cant really do anything because all the data that was on the drive has been overwritten, thus eliminating that possibility for data recovery… sorry buddy

you cannot recover files after formatting . none the less you have your files back up. that is the only time that you can once again transfer your files to your harddrive

If you are willing to pay… Data Recovery Service might be able to help you. just don’t turn the machine on any more… the more you write over the disk. the harder for them to recover.
Just search on the web for the service provider near you

a. Quick format
b. normal format
c. low level format
both (a) and (b) can be recovered, many tools can do that. if u did the low level format ,then u are out of luck. (which i don’t think u did, because you need special program to do that),

go to http://www.download.com
Find the downloads tab .click windows software ,click on utilities and drivers .
Click file management .
Here you will find a bunch of data recovery programs . some are freeware , some are demo’s . So you have to monkey with a couple of them till you find one to work for what you want it to .
As long as you didnt zero fill the drive . you can get most of it back ..
You’ll know if you zero filled the drive , it would’ve taken for ever to have done it on a drive that size ..
Good luck ..
It does take some time to recover files as well ..

Whether you use full or quick format on ntfs volume, the data should be still intact.
Try http://www.adrc.com/software/
I remember one is freeware and the other one is $6.99 shareware. One should work for you ??
