i formatted my 40gb seagate hard disk. all dats r lost. now i want to recover all data plz help me. due to os corruption i formatted hard disk. i want to recover all data from formatted hard disk partion

    Once you reformatted your hard disk, like you said, all data is lost since the process overwrites the tracks on the disk and replaces them with new ones.

    Technically speaking the original data is gone but there are profesional software programs out there which will recover some of the data on your disk. However, most of it will be “gobbeldygook” and unreadable.

    There are a few trial and shareware recovery programs on the net. Just do a search in Yahoo. Here’s a link that might help as well:

    If u formated your hard disk without deleting the partition, u’re save. Just get yourself some recovery software (eg. easy recovery) install it on a different hard disk to recover all your lost data from the formated HD. NOTE: if next time u’re OS is corrupt, repair it, dont format, is dat clear?
