How to recover a damaged hard disk?

25 Feb

My computer was not starting so i took it to a local workshop
and told me that hard disk is damaged completely and no way can be recovered. I hear some companies can open it and recover data as possible, any help please?

thanks

Yes, but they are expensive and offer no guarantee of recovery, at least not full.

What is the status of the HD. Can it be detected?
When you connect it to the system if you can sense the spin of tiny motor inside the disk and then the system cannot detect it take to a place where they recover data with Recovery Software tools.

If the media inside is good then we can recover the data by replacing the Controller mounted on the Disk. For this you must have a similar controller board available.

Some people claim to recover the data by opening the hard disk and replace the diskettes into another one and so recover the data.
But the chances are very thin like 1 %. The process should happen in a closed cool clean area without dust particles .
the platters should not get scratched during this process.
All the best for your recovery.

first buy a new hard drive then make the old one a slave and use a program called ghost it will let you see whats on the other drive and copy to the new drive all the information including you version or windows the just unplug the old and everything will be as it was on the old

This might sound strange but ive got this info from my local computer pro stick the hard drive in the frezzer in an air tight container for 30mins sometimes this will work till the hard drive gets hot again so speed is the key cos it might function ok while its cold
