The laptop stopped working and started flashing a warning that there is emminent failure of the hard disk. Soon thereafter it would take ages to start up and then it would just hang up. Finally it just stopped working
How can I recover my data from my crushed laptop hard disk?

Hook that bad boy up to about computer and see if you can transfer it across. Otherwise some businesses will do it for a fee.

I know you can take it to a place like “Best Buy” or any place like that and they can get all your personal info off of it, but I think they charge you.

run a good spyware and virus program Spyware collects personal information without letting you know and without asking for permission. From the Web sites you visit to usernames and passwords, spyware can put you and your confidential information at risk. In addition to privacy concerns, spyware can hamper your computer’s performance.
