what do you know its a MAXTOR…. the best solution for that drive is using a scrwedriver to open it. and a scrwedriver to destroy the platters. maxtors never last……

Changing the existing DIMMconfig. can improve systems memory Bus Bandwith. Channel A DIMM 0 shouldmatch Channel B DIMM 0Channel A DIMM 1 should match Channel B DIMM 1″whats the problem and can it be fixed?

I got a Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 40GB IDE drive which clicks when I turn it on. I’m not going to bother to try and fix it, it’s still under warranty so I’m just gonna send it in for a factory repaired replacement drive.

I am aware of that fact. Since I did a reformat just before it started making the click of death, I have no data to lose.
