Try to boot into safe mode, once there wait three minutes and then shut it off. Wait a minute and boot back up. If it goes to Windows then you will be alright (Windows tends to get confused as to what it is suppose to do), if not you need to use the Windows CD and do a repair to the boot sector.

Firstly go to your BIOS set up to see whether hard disk is being detected by your system or not. If you did not find it in any primary or secondary IDE slots (This is the most chance) it means your hard disk has a physical problem. It may be damaged or it it may have a loose connection of data cable etc.
In other case your windows has been corrupted, you may need to repair or reinstall it.
