I recently my hard disk (a storage drive without windows on it) into an older machine to use temporarily. Now my files are looking corrupt. for example, I’ll open a video file and a random .mp3 music file will play half way through the song.
A LOT of my family photos have gone bad, there’s no thumbnail and no picture but the file is still showing as being there. I’ve lost a lot of multimedia work and a project my wife has worked on for over a year are all bad.
What can I do to recover the data?
Thanks!

As you have fitted your hard drive to an older machine might I suggest that you check that the file systems are the same. If they are not there may not be a problem with your hard drive it may just be a compatability problem.

If the data is very important to you ….don’t mess with it …most softwares are pathetic at data recovery …you need professional help ….people who have the required hardware to do this kind of stuff.
Search in Google for data recovery in your area.
